You've taken the first step to recovery! I'm so proud of you

 I recovered from depersonalization! Now I’m here to help you do the same:

 Not too long ago, I had my first panic attack which triggered a period of my life where I felt completely disconnected from myself and the world around me. I went to mental health clinics, doctors and even the emergency room and no one could tell me what was happening to me!

I was forced to leave the country and move back with my mum in New Zealand (the plane ride was actually soothing with the white noise effect of the engines, but i'll get into that soon) because I could not work, I couldn't leave the house with out having a panic attack, without thinking I was in a game, without thinking I am going insane (I wasn't, and neither are you).

After professionals let me down, I had to research this on my own to find out what was wrong with me, and finally after hours and hours of searching I came across symptoms for depersonalization! Bingo! The weight I felt lift off my shoulders was incredible. This meant, if the disorder has a name, then there will be a cure! I didn't have brain damage, I wasn't being sucked into a void, I was just disconnected!

I didn’t feel real, I didn't recognise my own body, nature scared the heck out of me and don't even get me started on the existential thoughts (it was a lot). But I did recover. Fully! And if you’re in it right now, I want you to know: You can too! And you will! 

I once thought my life was over and I'd never be the same again. But here I am; travelling alone, saving animals and pulling people (like your self) out of the fog and living out my purpose. Living better than before!

After sharing my recovery story online people began reaching out to me- looking for answers, hope and someone who understood them. That is why I have created this safe space where inside you'll find all of my podcasts, E-books, a supportive community, checklists, recovery stories and everything that I have learned through lived experience and my own trial and error.
